How It Works

Secure Strings in One Click

🎛️

1. Choose a Type

Pick a password, passphrase, PIN, hex token or UUID — or start from a quick template preset.

⚙️

2. Tune the Options

Adjust length, character sets and quantity. The strength meter updates so you can aim for high entropy.

📋

3. Copy or Download

Copy any result individually, copy the whole batch, or download them all as a text file.

Why Use This Tool

Secure, Flexible & Private

🔐

Cryptographically Secure

Randomness comes from the Web Crypto API with rejection sampling, so results are unbiased and unpredictable — not Math.random().

🔒

100% Private

Everything is generated on your device. Your passwords are never transmitted, stored or logged anywhere.

🧰

Five Generators

Passwords, memorable passphrases, numeric PINs, hex tokens and UUID v4 — all in one clean interface.

🔢

Bulk Generation

Need 50 API keys or test credentials? Generate up to 100 at once and export them as a list.

🧮

Strength & Entropy

A live meter estimates entropy in bits and rates each password so you can pick something genuinely strong.

Free, No Sign-Up

No account, no limits, no ads in the way. Generate as many secure strings as you need at zero cost.

FAQ

Common Questions

Are the generated strings secure and random?
Yes. Generation uses the browser's Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), a cryptographically secure random number generator, with rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias. This is far stronger than Math.random().
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Everything is generated locally in your browser. Your passwords never leave your device and are not stored or logged anywhere.
Can I generate many at once?
Yes. Set the quantity up to 100 to generate a batch, then copy them all with one click or download them as a .txt file — great for seeding test data or credentials.
What makes a strong password?
Length matters most. A random 16-character password mixing upper, lower, digits and symbols is very strong. The strength meter estimates entropy in bits so you can compare options at a glance.
What is a passphrase?
A passphrase is several random words joined together, such as coral-window-73-maple. It is easier to remember than a random string while remaining hard to guess when it uses enough words.
