Software QA & Code Review Intern

About this Role

Software QA isn't about breaking things for fun — it's a discipline that requires technical depth, methodical thinking, and a genuine commitment to shipping things that work. You'll write test cases, review pull requests for logic errors and security vulnerabilities, run performance tests, and audit code for quality standards. You'll use Git to track changes across codebases and become the person developers both dread and respect — because when you sign off, everyone knows it's good. QA engineers who can also review code are exceptionally rare and in high demand.

What You'll Do

• Write comprehensive test cases covering happy paths, edge cases, and failure scenarios
• Review pull requests and provide structured, constructive feedback on logic, security, and maintainability
• Perform security audits on web application code — check for injection vulnerabilities, exposed credentials, and broken auth
• Run performance tests using browser tools and profiling utilities to identify bottlenecks
• Maintain a defect log with clear reproduction steps, severity ratings, and resolution tracking
• Collaborate with developers to understand feature intent before designing test coverage
• Contribute to improving team coding standards and review checklists

What We're Looking For

• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals — you can read code and spot logic errors
• Familiarity with Git — branching, diffs, and pull request workflows
• Basic knowledge of web security concepts (OWASP Top 10 is a strong plus)
• Methodical, documentation-first mindset — every bug you find needs a clear paper trail
• Exposure to any testing framework or tools (Jest, Postman, browser DevTools, Lighthouse)
